Prismatic Translation is a translation agency based in Florida, in the United States of America. We started as SpanTech Translations 30 years ago, when our Director, Gabriela Hebin, started her career as a freelance translator. In the beginning, it was just Gabriela, specializing in Spanish Technical translations; over time, she began working with other linguists.
Over time, it organically grew into an agency that now works in dozens of languages and all major specialty fields. We now work with over 400 professional freelance translators who are experts at their craft.
Meet Our Team
Gabriela Hebin
Director
Gabriela was born in Argentina and spent time living in the United States and Mexico throughout her childhood and adolescence. Eventually she settled in the United States to attend the University of California. In 1992 she started working as a freelance translator from home so she could take care of her twin daughters. Over decades, she took on new suppliers, language pairs, and services to grow Prismatic Translation into the diverse agency it is today.
She is fluent in both Spanish and English and is an ATA-Certified Spanish to English translator.
Melissa Day
Chief Operating Officer
Melissa is one of the daughters who inspired Gabriela to start Prismatic Translation. She was raised in a bilingual household and learned the translation trade from her mother as she grew up. She graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor’s Degree in Advertising in 2013 and joined Prismatic shortly thereafter. She has extensive experience in translation, project management, business management, sales, marketing, UI design and web development. In her spare time, she plays harp and creates large-scale sculpture in a variety of media.
Tulio Loreto
Senior Project Manager
Tulio was born in Venezuela and graduated from the University of Carabobo with a degree in Telecommunications Engineering, working in the industry for several years, particularly in the VoIP sector. He learned English in middle school as he was developing an interest in other languages. He started working as a freelance translator in 2013 as a way to further develop his language skills and joined the Prismatic team in 2018 after several years of working together.
Tomás Espejel
Project Manager
Tomás was born in Mexico and began studying English in junior high. He enjoyed his classes very much and decided to follow in the steps of his teachers. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Languages with a major in English. He also earned a degree in Music Composition, which gave him several opportunities to meet, greet and collaborate with people from around the world. All that time, he had worked as an English-Spanish translator collaborating with a Mexican cinema company. He joined the Prismatic team in early 2022 as a Project Manager.
Our Approach
We know that the most important aspect of any translation project is quality, on-time delivery. To maintain close control over our quality and reliability, we use a people-focused approach in how we do business:
- We only work directly with individual translators. We do not outsource to other translation agencies. This allows us careful control over our quality.
- Every linguist is tested and vetted to ensure their skill level and knowledge of terminology.
- We track our linguists' performance as they continue to work with us.
- We work around the clock to meet our obligations if need be.
- We provide personalized, individualized service to meet the different needs of each client.
- We prioritize relationships with our linguists. We treat them as members of a team, and not just cogs in a machine.
